Privacy policy
Last updated: 27 July 2026
The short version: your images stay on your device. Everything below explains that in more detail.
Images you open in the tool
Images are read directly from your device into your browser's memory and processed with the Canvas API inside a Web Worker. They are never transmitted to us or to any third party, never written to a server, and are discarded from memory as soon as you close or reload the page. Because no upload takes place, we have no ability to see, recover or retain your files.
Information we collect and its source
We do not require an account and we do not ask for your name, email address or payment details to use the tools. The only personal information we ever receive is what you choose to send us directly — for example, when you submit the feedback form or email us, we receive the name, email address and message you provide. Standard server logs may also record the requested page, your browser's user agent and a truncated IP address for security and abuse prevention. These logs are not linked to any image you compress. In short, our data comes from two sources only: information you voluntarily give us, and the technical/advertising data collected automatically by our advertising and hosting providers described below.
Advertising and Google AdSense
This site is supported by advertising and uses Google AdSense to display ads. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance. This means Google may use cookies to track user behaviour across sites in order to show more relevant advertising. Third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads on this site using their own cookies.
How to opt out of personalised advertising
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings at myadcenter.google.com. You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu. In addition, most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Opting out does not remove ads — you may still see non-personalised ads that are not based on your browsing behaviour.
Cookies and analytics
The image tools themselves work without cookies. Cookies on this site come primarily from advertising as described above. If privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics are enabled, they measure page views and tool usage counts only — never file names or file contents.
Children's privacy
The service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. As no account or personal data is required to use the tools, there is nothing for us to collect.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data tied to you beyond what you send us directly, there is generally little to export or erase. If you believe we hold information about you, or you want a message you sent us deleted, you may contact us to request access, correction or deletion, and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update the date below. Material changes that affect how data is handled will be summarised at the top of this page.
